REAL Betis Academy Zimbabwe director Gerald Sibanda has hailed funeral services company Zororo-Phumulani after the latter donated equipment worth thousands of dollars to his nursery early this week.
Betis Academy Under21 side toured South Africa last weekend where they played against Mamelodi Sundowns U21s and SuperSport United U21s.
They were not without support as multitudes of South Africa-based Zimbabweans turned in their numbers to back the youngsters.
And repatriation concern Zororo-Phumulani, which is powered by Doves Zimbabwe chipped in as well with goodies and equipment for the nursery.
“The tour was very successful as we exposed our youngsters to demanding competition. They were eager to express themselves and we picked a lot of positives,” said Sibanda.
“The future is looking very bright. I would like to thank Zororo-Phumulani who chipped in a very big way, donating some goodies to the academy players.
“Such gestures are very encouraging. We really felt at home”.
Zororo-Phumulani has always supported sport with the entity coming in a big way in sponsoring boxers like Kuda Chiwandire, the Gems and Mighty Warriors.
The company’s Executive Marketing Manager Tendai Mangoti said his company will continue supporting sport.
“This is our small way of giving back to the community. We need to nurture future stars and our partnership with Real Betis Academy has been very fruitful,” said Mangoti.
“We wish to see these youngsters grow into stars who will help our national team win major tournaments.”
