ZPC Kariba forward Leeroy Murape believes they should use home advantage when they face champions FC Platinum in a league match at Nyamhunga this weekend.
Platinum are in second place, six points adrift of log leaders Ngezi Platinum.
While ZPC Kariba are in position 15 with 30 points.
Kariba has lost three matches and won two in their last five matches. In their last encounter, they lost 4-3 to army side Black Rhinos and will be looking to redeem themselves against an inform Platinum that has won all its five league games.
Murape, who was on the score-sheet last week, believes the team has to play for a positive result that will see the club survive relegation.
“It’s an important match and we are at home so we expect a positive result. At this stage of the league, everyone will be looking to win all their home matches despite which opponent they are playing and what form they have.
“We are coming from a defeat, we would want to put that behind us and focus on this game. We can’t concentrate on the past results but we need to look forward and put our maximum effort to get a positive result to boost our chances of survival.
“It’s good to score it gives you confidence as a player, especially for upcoming assignments but I would have been happier if we had got something out of the game.
It’s always a good feeling to score in a winning cause than when you are on the losing end.
“For our fans we want them to understand that we are working very hard to take ourselves out of the relegation battle and stay in the safety zone.”
