THE Zimbabwe Republic Police Bulawayo is today set to relaunch its 2026 Service Charter, a document that outlines the standards of service the police commit to delivering to members of the public.

In confirming the relaunch today, provincial police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele said the program will start with a colourful march led by the police band from Drill Hall before moving along Jason Moyo Street to the main venue for the activities between Six and Five Avenues.

The charter relaunch is expected to clearly define the quality of service citizens should expect from the police, promote accountability, professionalism, and transparency in policing, strengthen trust and cooperation between the police and the community and provide clear channels for complaints, feedback, and service improvement.

The initiative also encourages residents to actively participate in maintaining law and order by cooperating with police, reporting crime, and making use of official complaint mechanisms when service standards are not met.

Today’s relaunch is expected to bring together senior police officers, Government officials, community leaders, civil society organisations and members of the public, reflecting a collective commitment to strengthening policing and public safety in Bulawayo.
