IF you’ve got brains, brawn, and the burning desire to serve — the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is calling your name!
In a press statement issued on April 16, national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi announced a massive recruitment drive for young Zimbabwean citizens to train as General Duty Constables at Mkushi Police Academy, a University of Zimbabwe affiliate.
The catch? You must be fit, sharp, and between 18 and 22 years old.
“This is a golden opportunity for the youth to serve their country while pursuing a Diploma in Police Studies over a two-year period,” said Comm Nyathi.
Do you qualify?
• Age: 18 to 22 (born by 16 April 2007, not after 30 August 2007)
• Education: Minimum of 5 O’Level passes including Maths, English, and any Science in no more than two sittings
• Fitness: Must smash a 5km run in 20 minutes (males) or 25 minutes (females)
• Height & Weight: Males – 1.68m & 59kgs minimum, Females – 1.62m & proportional weight
Hopefuls must submit handwritten applications with a 450–500 word life history, copies of IDs and qualifications to their nearest police station by 29 April 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
