ZRP, ZPS clash in ‘Battle of Ntabazinduna’

IT will be the Battle of Ntabazinduna in the Bulawayo Netball League when ZRP Ntabazinduna play host to Ntabazinduna Prison this afternoon.The police outfit will be on revenge mission against the prison guards who handed them an 18-20 first leg defeat.

Both clubs go into today’s match smarting from humiliating defeats with ZRP Ntabazinduna nursing the wounds of their 5-55 loss to Railstars while Ntabazinduna Prison lost 7-42 to Zesa.

Ntabazinduna Prison team manager Farai Ngandu said they were positive for a win against their neighbours.
“We have been training well and I’m positive that we are going to beat them again. We won the last encounter so we don’t expect much challenge from them but we are not taking them lightly,” said Ngandu.

The police outfit ZRP are determined to turn their season around as they are 11th on the log standings while their counterparts are eighth.

“We have been preparing well like for any other match but we are looking forward  to a good match,” said Kudakwashe Mthombeni, ZRP inspector in charge.

In the other match, high-flying Ntutu Sparrows will clash with relegation threatened Sobukazi Secondary School as they seek to maintain their dominance on the log standings.
