ZSE opens week lower

zseTHE Zimbabwe Stock Exchange maintained its losing streak on the opening day of the week yesterday, sliding back 1.44 percent to close the session at 118,79. Dragging the index down were telecoms giant Econet, which shed 6.97 percent to 18c, beverages maker Delta was 3.88 percent weaker at 75c, conglomerate Innscor fell 1.44 percent to 34c and retailer OK lost 0.59 percent to 5c.

Gains in Willdale 11.11 percent stronger at 0,2c, Mashhold and FML both 10 percent stronger at 2,2c, ZB 2.37 percent firmer, and Meikles 2.15 percent higher at 9c were not enough to prop up the industrial index.

The mining index was flat 22.33 points at Bindura was unchanged at 1,30c, Falgold stayed at 0,5c, Hwange remained at 3,4c and RioZim was flat at 10,4c. — BH24
