ZIMBABWE Volleyball Association administrator Sibangani Mashasha has expressed satisfaction with the performances of local teams during the national league ties held at ZRP Support Unit in Chikurubi over the weekend.

Mashasha said the teams displayed a competitive spirit, raising his faith in the future of the game in the country.

“The teams displayed improved performance compared to previous games. This makes the game more interesting and gives us a large pool to choose our national teams from. Right now we want more teams joining our national league to increase competition,” said Mashasha.

“There are some teams which pulled out of the league due to financial challenges leaving the national league depleted, but we hope some of them will return to make the league even more competitive.”
