Speaking ahead of the tournament, organiser Brighton Muzanenhamo, said they were thrilled to stage such a high-profile tournament.
“We are looking forward to a great tournament and there is going to be tough competition,” said Muzanenhamo. “We have high-profile players like Munyaradzi Gwemure, Brian Gwenjere, Innocent Bartman, Alfred Mugwagwa, Alice Muzanenhamo and Portia Gutsa, among others.
“The tournament draws players from several parts of the country. The sport of handball is growing and we saw it proper to promote it. We are looking forward to making the tournament an annual event.”
