Ten-year-old model and philanthropist Tamar Muchineuta is simply unstoppable!

The young girl keeps shining in her country and beyond the borders.

Apart from doing the best in her academics, she recently scooped two awards for motivational and personal development courtesy of the sixth edition of the Annual African Children of the Year Awards.

She also became a second runner-up for safety and security.

Tamar battled against other children from South Africa, Rwanda, and Kenya.

However, this year she didn’t attend physically but she feels honoured.

“They call for nominees every year, I was nominated by my fans on Facebook and I am excited since this is a milestone for my passion.

“I am managing to balance school and my philanthropic work.

“This is encouraging since my dream is coming true to be recognized back home and abroad.”

Her mother Shalom said:

“I am happy since she is doing great at school as well, she is also doing well in her philanthropic work.

“This is encouraging her to do more and to try and change children’s lives.

“She is doing what she likes most.”

Some of the categories included the entrepreneurship category which was won by Kitso Tlhame (13) from South Africa while education and skills development was won by Precious Njoroge (11) from Kenya.

“I was nominated in the motivational and personal development and philanthropy categories.

“In the Motivational/Personal development category, Zimbabwe and South Africa were nominated and I won.

“On the Safety and Security Development, Zimbabwe and Kenya were nominated and I was the second runner-up.

“Then I won the philanthropy in which Botswana, South Africa, and Zimbabwe were nominated.”

The awards, part of the Stacey Fru Foundation and its partners, were held on November 18 at the Profound Conference Centre in Johannesburg.

A total of 27 nominations were received for different categories this year.

The awards ceremony was founded in 2018 and the Annual African Children of the Year Awards is the most important initiative of The Stacey Fru Foundation.

The initiative recognizes children ages between 7 to 13 across Africa, who are contributing positively to their community, country, and the continent, in a bid to glorify African gifts but promote Africa to Africans as a continent of choice.

The first ceremony was held in November 2018 months after the Awards Custodian, Stacey Fru, dedicated a portion of her life to promote and celebrate children from Cape to Cairo.
