BULAWAYO Provincial Affairs Minister Nomthandazo Eunice Moyo has challenged Bulawayo residents to rally behind the ruling party as it honours its promises of empowering Zimbabweans. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of 113 students from Nkulumane who had finished a week-long course in carpentry, catering, electrics and cake baking at Sizinda Vocational Training Centre, Cde Moyo said students had acquired technical skills which they should use for their survival.
“Skills you have acquired are some of the benefits one gets when the person is a Zanu-PF member. The party always supports its members and the country at large. Your life will never be the same again,” she said.
The programme was meant for women and youths in Zanu-PF from Nkulumane. It was facilitated by the party’s Central Committee member, Cde Killian Sibanda. Cde Sibanda said he facilitated the programme as a way of thanking party supports for voting him to be a Central Committee member.
“I saw it better to teach you how to fish than giving you fish. This programme is ongoing and soon we will be teaching others soap-making,” said Cde Sibanda.
Also in attendance were Lobengula legislator Cde Maidei Mpala, Zanu-PF Central Committee members and provincial members of the women’s league.
