OLD Mutual and Nyaradzo Life Assurance Company emerged as standout exhibitors at the Chitungwiza Trade Fair, earning top honours for Best Financial Advisor and Best Funeral Provider, respectively.

Young Africa was recognised for Best Educational Stand, while Kunaka won Best SME in Chitungwiza. Probfix Financial Services took home the award for Best Microfinance Institution.

Other winners included Croc Security for Best Security Stand, Knock Out for Best Home Use Product, and Azam TV for Best Home Entertainment Exhibitor.

Florida Engineering was named Best Renewable Energy Exhibitor, Bethel Events won Best Events Exhibitor, and Telecel claimed the title of Best Telecom Network Operator.

Utsanzi was recognised as Best Newcomer, while Zimra secured the award for Best Government Agency Stand.

Speaking at the awards ceremony at Chitungwiza Town Centre last week, Chitungwiza Trade Fair executive Mr Lexie Mrewa praised the exhibitors for their contributions to the local economy.

“Let us continue to expand our reach and attract more customers. While Chitungwiza’s official population is 400 000, the Chitungwiza Publicity Association estimates it could be as high as 1.5 million. If you attract even five percent of that, you have a strong customer base to sustain your business,” he said.

Mr Mrewa said Chitungwiza is a dynamic hub of talent and opportunity.

“Chitungwiza is a source of markets, talent, and innovation. Some of Zimbabwe’s largest churches and most celebrated musicians started here. While there are challenges, there is also immense potential. I urge you to see Chitungwiza as a powerful economic force,” he said.
