A 13-YEAR-OLD boy from Gweru who sodomised and raped his two-year-old sister after watching a pornographic movie, will receive three strokes at Whawha Prison. The boy, who resides in Woodlands Park suburb, committed the offence while his younger brother watched.
He invited the brother, whose age was not given in court, to also rape the minor but the brother refused.
The boy was sentenced on his own plea of guilty to one count of rape and one count of aggravated indecent assault by Regional Magistrate Collet Ncube.
In passing sentence, Ncube said he had taken into account that the teenager was a first offender who had pleaded guilty and did not waste the court’s time.
“I’ve also taken into account that you’re still young and have a bright future ahead of you. However, you abused your own sister and that’s something this court won’t take lightly”.
“You must learn a lesson so that you won’t repeat the same offence.
“You’ll receive three strokes by a rattan cane at Whawha Prison which will be administered by a designated prison officer,” said Ncube.
