13kg of Dagga lands Mutare woman in court

A 41-YEAR-OLD woman from Mutare appeared before a Magistrate’s Court after being found with 13,39kg of dagga.

Pamela Mavhunduke from Dangamvura Suburb was caught at Dulivhadzimu bus terminus in Beitbridge with dagga valued at US$1 390 while boarding an Inter Africa bus.

“Acting on a tip-off, officers searched her bag and discovered five wrapped cobs of dagga. She was taken into custody, and the dagga was weighed at Zimpost in her presence,” said the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) in a statement on X.

Mavhunduke appeared before the Magistrate’s court, where her case was postponed to 25 February for a bail ruling.
