A total of 178 constituencies out of 210 have submitted their project proposals for funding through the Constituency Development Fund this year, Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda has said.

Advocate Mudenda said this in the National Assembly on Wednesday in an update to parliamentarians.

“According to Parliament records, 178 constituencies out of 210 have submitted their project proposals for funding through the CDF,” Advocate Mudenda said.

He said those constituencies that are yet to submit theirs have up to September 30 to allow administrative checks before their submission to the Treasury by October 31.

The CDF is money disbursed by the Treasury to MPs who were elected to the National Assembly to fund development projects in their constituencies.
