18-year-old convicted for possessing dagga

EIGHTEEN-year-old Trymore Chinyundo from Chinhoyi was convicted by a Chinhoyi Magistrate on charges of unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.
The court heard that on August 30, 2024 police officers received information to the effect that Chinyundo had dagga at his place of residence.
The officers acted on the information and proceeded to Chinyundo’s home where they found him preparing a dagga stick.
They searched the house and recovered 15 sachets of dagga from his sling bag leading to his arrest.
Chinyundo will appear in court tomorrow for sentencing.
