Brigadier General Ndabambi buried

Acting President Dr Constantino Chiwenga has called on the nation to preserve the gains of the country’s hard-won independence and to assist in the attainment of President Mnangagwa’s vision of delivering economic emancipation to all Zimbabweans.
Dr Chiwenga, who presided over the burial of the late National Hero, military intelligence and military police stalwart Brigadier General (Rtd) Shadreck Dingaan Ndabambi at the National Heroes Acre this morning, said this was the best way to honour the selfless sacrifices of men and women who fought and died for the country.
“We gather once more at this sacred national shrine to honour and inter our decorated senior officer who served in the Zimbabwe Defence Forces and was a veteran of the liberation struggle,” said Acting President Chiwenga.

“The nation has lost a dedicated, loyal and disciplined cadre who devoted his life to an illustrious service to the nation before and after Independence.
“His character and personality were an embodiment of humility, loyalty, discipline and exemplary leadership.
“Our Independence did not come on a silver platter. This gathering at our sacred National Shrine to inter one of our liberation stalwarts should always serve as a reminder of the supreme sacrifice that Comrade Ndabambi and other veterans offered, in service, to the nation.
“We should honour those that ignited and championed the struggle for our freedom by emulating their exemplary conduct and leadership to carry Zimbabwe forward.
“As we accelerate toward our economic emancipation, I call upon the nation to rally behind the visionary leadership of our iconic leader, Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, as we leave no stone unturned in our thrust to transform, modernise and grow the economy of our country to the Zimbabwe we all want.”
