1D fan ‘kills dog’ after rejected tweet

Los Angeles — An obsessed fan of boy band One Direction has reportedly killed her dog after they ignored her “follow” request on Twitter, reports Daily Mail. The fan tweeted the following two weeks ago: “Follow me or I’ll break my dog’s neck.” The tweet came from an account named @illumivato and was accompanied by a photo showing someone’s arm pinning down a dog on the ground by its throat.

When the band didn’t respond, she tweeted band member Liam Payne directly saying she loves him and that her dog just died. The account has since been suspended and the band has not yet reacted publicly to the incident.

Twitter has also since been abuzz with fans of the band calling it a hoax and calling @illumivato all sorts of crazy. One Twitter user posted a photo which appears to be a collage of the type of things @illumivato has tweeted in the past, which makes the dog threat tweet look quite normal in comparison.

One Direction fans seem to be very over-protective of the British boy band, as this is not the first time one of them has tweeted or done weird things.

1D fans previously sent Taylor Swift death threats when she started dating Harry Styles. The band also recently came to the defence of their “crazy” fans after some of them complained about the way they’ve been depicted in a recently aired documentary, Crazy About One Direction. — DailyMail.
