2 female bombers attack Cameroon mosque, kill 10

Yaounde — The governor of the Far North region of Cameroon says two female suicide bombers have attacked a mosque, leaving at least 10 dead and about a dozen wounded.

Midjiyawa Bakari said yesterday the attack happened in the town of Kolofata on Cameroon’s border with Nigeria. Bakari said the bombers are believed to have come from Nigeria, crossing over a few days ago. Kolofata has been repeatedly attacked by Boko Haram militants. The extremist group’s six-year insurgency has killed thousands in Nigeria, and across its borders.
