Acting Chief Magistrate Mr Munamato Mutevedzi yesterday swore in two new magistrates — Notebulgah Muchineripi and Michelle Dorcas Tinotenda Mutasa — at the Harare Magistrates ‘‘Court.
The two are part of the 60 magistrates that the Justice Service Commission was allowed to recruit by Treasury.
The other 58 magistrates have already been sworn in.
Mr Mutevedzi said the swearing in of the two was delayed because they could not undertake their internship with the other 58 magistrates since they were committed elsewhere within the commission.
Speaking at the same occasion, Prosecutor-General Mr Kumbirai Hodzi urged the new magistrates to work hard to deliver justice to the public without fear or favour.
