Ex-Zifa boss Rushwaya granted bail

FORMER Zifa chief executive Henrietta Ru-shwaya yesterday appeared in court on char-ges of concealing transactions from her principals, fraud and bribery emanating from soccer matches the senior national football team played in Asia.

She is facing 11 counts of concealing transactions from a principal, two counts of fraud and 15 others of bribery involving US$1 million.

The former Zifa boss was granted US$500 bail with the consent of the Attorney-General’s Office.
She was ordered to report to the police once every fortnight and to surrender her passport to the Clerk of Court pending finalisation of the matter.
