Some companies which closed down in Bulawayo will not re-open despite the provision of funds under the Distressed Industries and Marginalised Areas Fund (Dimaf) to rescue ailing industries, a Cabinet minister has said.
Addressing members of the Press at the just ended 53rd edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, Prof Ncube said companies had closed for different reasons and some would not be able to reopen even if they got their share of Dimaf because they could never be revived no matter the amount of money poured into them.

VUNGU Rural District Council chief executive officer Mr Wellington Ngulube has attacked Gweru City Council for continuously discharging raw sewage into Gweru River, exposing villagers to disease.
Mr Ngulube also hit out at the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) for taking a passive role in fighting environmental pollution, describing the agency as a mere “fining body”.
