POLICY and ideological differences continue to widen fissures in the inclusive Government.

ZIMBABWE’S judiciary is terribly under-funded, fuelling corruption in the justice delivery system, Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku has said.
Addressing delegates at the official launch of the code of ethics for judges and the JSC’s strategic plan in
Harare, Chief Justice Chidyausiku said under-funding also hindered the judiciary’s capacity to deliver.
“The judiciary is terribly under-funded. This has seriously impaired the capacity of the judiciary to deliver justice.
“The under-funding has also contributed in a large measure to corruption in the judiciary, especially at the lower levels of the judiciary.
“Regrettably, the Judicial Service Commission has had to accept that the judiciary will never be adequately funded. JSC has no choice but to learn to live with under-funding.”
