Temporary Importation Permit (TIP) for visitors’ vehicles

We have come to that time of the year again; the festive season when our relatives and friends living abroad come home to visit. Some will bring their vehicles for ease of travelling from one place to another within Zimbabwe. A visitor to Zimbabwe bringing in a foreign registered private vehicle may be issued with a Temporary Import Permit (TIP) by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) upon entry into Zimbabwe?

Why China isn’t celebrating

After much anticipation, the “phase one” US-China trade deal was announced on Friday, but an immediate stock market bump didn’t accompany it. Markets were at first lukewarm on the deal, though US stocks have closed at record highs this week. For now, the partial agreement avoided $160 billion worth of tariffs that were set to take effect Sunday and significantly reduces others in exchange for Beijing’s commitment to buy more US agricultural products.
