The countdown is on for the 10th edition of the Castle Lager National Braai Festival, set for October 18 at Glamis Arena in Harare, and the hype is spreading across the country through a series of electrifying roadshows.
So far, the promotional tour has covered Mashonaland Central, Gweru, and Masvingo, with more stops lined up in the coming weeks. Chitungwiza will host the next leg on September 13 at Monkey Shoulders, followed by Chipiwa Gardens in Marondera on September 14.
The party continues at Kadoma’s Speedway Bar on September 20, before moving to Jongwe Corner in Chinhoyi on September 21. Harare will get its share on September 27 at Jongwe Corner, while Bulawayo joins the celebration at Hartsfield on October 4. The final roadshow will wrap up at Madziro Bar in Mutare on October 11, just a week before the main festival.
In a statement, the organisers expressed excitement over the progress and the milestone the event is about to achieve.
“Castle Lager proudly marks a decade of hosting the Castle Lager National Braai Festival, set for October 18, 2025. To commemorate this milestone, we have launched an exciting series of 10 Micro Castle Lager Braai events across 10 cities in 10 braai hotspots throughout Zimbabwe, running every weekend leading up to the big day.
“This celebration gives Castle Lager the chance to reach and celebrate with more consumers who come together as friends to enjoy the cherished braai experience.
“Each micro-event will feature electrifying live performances by top local artistes and DJs, creating unforgettable moments blending great music, mouthwatering braais, and the unmistakable taste of Castle Lager, a brand that has stood the test of time,” read the statement.
But it is not just about the fun. The campaign is also about giving back.
“In a heartfelt gesture of community support, Castle Lager will donate 10 state-of-the-art hospital beds to a local hospital in each city hosting a micro braai event. This initiative underscores our commitment to supporting the communities that have embraced the brand over the past 130 years,” the organisers added.
With music, meat, and meaningful charity efforts, this year’s Castle Lager Braai Fest promises to be the biggest yet, a decade-long tradition that keeps bringing Zimbabweans together for a celebration like no other.
