21 km of Hwedza-Mushandirapamwe road opened to traffic

Transport and Infrastructure Development Minister Felix Mhona today officially opened 21 kilometres of the Hwedza-Mushandirapamwe road which is being upgraded.
The Government has contracted Masimba Holdings, a private local company, to upgrade the road.

Minister Mhona, who was accompanied by officials from his mnistry as well as Government officials from Mashonaland East province, reiterated the Government’s commitment to improving roads and related infrastructure across the country.

“The Second Republic is not leaving no place and no one behind when it comes to development. I am happy that today we are opening this stretch to motorists,” he said.

“This road was upgraded and converted into a modern road and is durable.

“This is the works of the Second Republic under President Mnangagwa. As a ministry, we will continue to work towards ensuring that all roads are usable, for the benefit of everyone.”
