A Karoi man has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for stabbing a man multiple times over a misunderstanding they had last year.
Ishmael Sakala (38) of Kusikwenyu Village was arraigned before the Karoi Magistrates’ Court facing attempted murder charges.
He was sentenced to 36 months in prison. However, six months were suspended.
Allegations are that on March 7, 2024, Sakala confronted Joseph Kadzuraumera (36) at Mutamba Business Centre, Karoi, at around 1900 hours.

Sakala drew a knife from his pocket and stabbed Kadzuraumera once on the left eye, once on the back of his head and once on the stomach. Kadzuraumera sustained multiple injuries.
Onlookers refrained Sakala from continuing to assault Kadzuraumera.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe has encouraged members of the public to desist from violence and to resolve their disputes amicably or seek third-party mediation.
