Malaysia has strengthened its educational ties with Zimbabwe by offering 150 scholarships for Zimbabwean students to pursue their studies at Malaysian universities.

This initiative, launched by Binary University, provides Zimbabwean students with the opportunity to acquire Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

Speaking at the launch of the My Binary International Grant in Harare, Malaysia’s Charge d’Affaires, Mr Aniff Fauzi said the initiative seeks to promote Malaysia as a top study destination and strengthen people-to-people relations between Zimbabwe and the Asian nation.

“I want to congratulate prospective beneficiaries of My Binary International Grant – Zimbabwe and implore them to take advantage of this opportunity to study hard should they be selected,” he said.
“I encourage them to observe and experience what Malaysia has to offer – the city, food, culture, and much more, and to serve as goodwill ambassadors and return to their country to contribute to the betterment of its people.”

Mr Alvin Gilbert Dato, senior director of Binary University highlighted the university’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and its long history of educating Zimbabwean students.
He said Binary University’s qualifications are recognized globally.
