A BULAWAYO man has appeared in court for allegedly raping his neighbour’s 11-year-old daughter in his fowl run after she had gone to his house with her younger brother and friend to play video games.
The 35-year-old man is alleged to have left the girl’s younger brother and friend playing games on his laptop. He then took the minor to his fowl run where he allegedly raped her once. The man pleaded not guilty to rape charges before regional magistrate Mr Joseph Mabeza.
Mr Mabeza remanded him in custody to December 5 for trial.
For the State, Mr Tinashe Dzipe said the man allegedly raped the minor sometime between December last year and February this year.
“The man gave the two other children his laptop to play with and took the minor into the fowl run. He lowered her trousers and panties before allegedly raping her once without protection,” said Mr Dzipe.—@MondelaC
