“The Harare Open will be played over 56 holes in strokeplay format.
“Professionals will have time to play in a competitive event at Chapman, which I believe will be good for them.
“The field is strong as it has both upcoming and seasoned campaigners,” said Gwatiringa.
The Harare Open closed the season last year when it was held at the same venue.
Veteran Shane Pringle won the event and will be aS63mong the group of players expected to take part. Professional golfers last took part in the Hwange Open late last month, which was won by the in-form Brian Gondo.
A total of 35 professionals took part in the last Zambezi Tour event and the number is likely to rise this time. The professionals will then switch their focus, after the Harare Open, to the Econet Joshua Nkomo Memorial.
