Mine Entra 2026 reaches its climax today, with Vice-Presidents Dr Constantino Chiwenga and Dr Kembo Mohadi expected to grace the official opening of the 29th edition of Zimbabwe’s premier mining exhibition at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) in Bulawayo after two days of high-level discussions on the future of the country’s mining industry.
VP Chiwenga is due to officiate and is standing in for President Mnangagwa, who was scheduled to open the exhibition.

Both Vice Presidents will tour select stands to give them an opportunity to interact with exhibitors demonstrating cutting-edge solutions designed to improve productivity, safety, sustainability and operational efficiency across the mining value chain.
Since Wednesday, Government officials, mining executives, investors, financiers, geologists and equipment manufacturers have been deliberating on strategies to accelerate mineral exploration, strengthen local content, promote beneficiation and unlock greater value from Zimbabwe’s vast mineral resources.

Held under the theme, “Unearth, Transform, Prosper: Anchoring Economic Transformation through Mining Value Chains,” this year’s exhibition has placed renewed emphasis on expanding exploration, increasing mineral beneficiation and value addition, and deepening linkages across the mining value chain.
Several exhibitors are displaying advanced drilling systems, mineral processing equipment, automation platforms, digital mining solutions, renewable energy technologies and environmentally sustainable innovations designed to lower production costs and improve output.

The technologies on display reflect the mining industry’s growing shift towards modernisation as Zimbabwe seeks to build a globally competitive and integrated mining sector.
Dr Chiwenga is expected to deliver a keynote address before presiding over the Mine Entra Awards, which recognise outstanding achievements, innovation and excellence within Zimbabwe’s mining industry.
Over the years, Mine Entra has evolved into the country’s premier mining exhibition and investment platform, bringing together Government, mining companies, investors, equipment suppliers, financiers and technology providers to promote innovation, strengthen partnerships and unlock investment opportunities across the mineral value chain.
