Tsikai had previous convictions of stock theft and was released from prison on October 12 last year after serving 36 months for armed robbery.
Within two weeks of his release, he embarked on his latest criminal escapade that has led to the lengthy incarceration.
In passing sentence before a packed gallery, Marondera regional magistrate Ms Mavis Dumba considered that Tsikai had not wasted the court’s time by pleading guilty to all the counts he was facing. 
She also noted that Tsikai used violence in committing the crimes. “It is of major concern that you committed the offences soon after being released from prison,” she said.
“This shows that you are a hardened criminal as previous sentences did not deter you, hence you have to be removed from society for a very long time.”
Prosecutor Ms Memory Mandudzo told the court that on October28 last year Tsikai raped a 30-year-old woman two times in Nhekairo Village in Hwedza after threatening her with an axe.
After the rape, Tsikai robbed her of a 14-inch television set, one solar panel, two inverters and a 12-volt battery, all valued at US$160.
The court also heard that on November 1, the same year Tsikai waylaid an 18-year-old woman on her way from school in Muyambi village, Hwedza and raped her twice at knife-point.
On the third count, the court heard that on November 12, Tsikai met a 24-year-old woman from Nyameni along 10 Miles Road and raped her at knife-point near Marondera Prison turn-off. He also robbed her of her handbag, Nokia cellphone and US$1.
On January 18 this year Tsikai pounced on a 51-year-old woman from Nhekairo Village, Hwedza, and raped her.
On the robbery charges, Tsikai robbed his aunt Pauline Tsikai (66) of Nhekairo Village of a 50kg bag of maize, four litres cooking oil and cooking utensils, all valued at US$300.
On October 27, 2011 he robbed 75-year- old Maxwell Nhende of Shiri Village, Hwedza, of US$25, groceries and a cellphone, all with a total value of US$200.
