Running into your ex’s ex can be awkward at the best of times but 50 Cent took the whole thing in his stride on Wednesday.
The 39-year-old rapper — who enjoyed a several month romance with Chelsea Handler in 2010 —bumped into the funny girl’s former beau, NBC Chairman Ted Harbert, 59, in New York.
50 — real name Curtis Jackson, 39, cheerfully posed alongside the TV exec in an Instagram snap which he captioned: ‘‘Me and Ted Harbert, well this is a @chelseahandler moment. We love you girl’’
TMZ report that Ted approached Fiddy and introduced himself adding, ‘‘I dated Chelsea Handler before you.’’
Jackson is seen in a blue blazer as she wraps a friendly arm around the businessman outside the NBC studios.
Chelsea dated Ted — who was also her boss — for four years from 2006 to 2010.
Their romance began the same year her first E! series, The Chelsea Handler Show, premièred and they moved in together months later.
She told Marie Claire in 2012 that it ended because the two couldn’t separate business and pleasure.
‘‘I would come home from work, and Ted would be like, Do you want to watch your show?’’ and I’d be like, ‘No, I just came from my show. That’s the last thing I’d want to do.”
She added: ‘‘That was the reason it didn’t work out, ultimately. I think.’’
Chelsea Lately debuted in 2007 and its finale aired last year with 50 Cent making a special appearance.
The rapper dated the comedian for a few months back in 2010 after the ‘‘In Da Club’’ hit-maker appeared on her show in 2009.
Meanwhile, the “Candy Shop” singer was up bright and early on Wednesday to appear on Live! With Kelly And Michael.
The father-of-two is heavily promoting his new luxury underwear line Frigo which launches this summer.
His newest venture is a partnership with music producer Timbaland, basketball player Carmelo Anthony and former baseball star Derek Jeter.
50 signed the deal with the brand, which was founded by Mathias Ingvarsson in 2013, back in December 2014 and announced the multi-million contract via Instagram.
He wrote: ‘‘I just did a deal for $78 million for underwear. What did you do today? Lllllllllooooolllllllllll #Boom #FRIGO’’.
A single pair of his undies — which he designed and has also been proudly modelling on Instagram — will retail at $100. — TMZ.
