AN elderly father is living a hellish life on earth to an extent of contemplating committing suicide because his 50-year-old son is in the habit of insulting him.
Daniel Gudlubeza Moyo (84) has lost standing in the community of Mpopoma suburb because his son Sifiso Nkiwane belittles him.
a?I donat know what my son really wants. If heas not happy about anything he shouts at me.
a?At times when I try to tell him how to conduct himself, he gets angry and causes drama, insulting me in public.
a?Even the neighbours feel sorry for me because of the way I am treated by my fourth child aged 50,a? said Moyo with tears in his eyes.
He revealed that it was shocking that his son still expected him to look after him when it was supposed to be the other way around.
a?I have tried a number of times to get a peace order against him but he always goes and comes back.
a?I donat have peace at all and at times I have evil thoughts because of his actions. The idea of hanging myself comes to mind whenever I think of the way Iam suffering at the hands of my son.
a?I have told his brothers numerous times but he does not change his behaviour,a? said Moyo.
He revealed that the best decision was to involve the courts to evict his wayward son.
One of the neighbours said they felt pity for the old man because he had no peace in his life.
a?Khulu Moyo is suffering a lot. The person who is supposed to be looking after him harasses him.
a?We are afraid that if he does not take any action against his son, one day he might kill him,a? said Abel Nkomo.
Efforts to get a comment from the son were fruitless as his whereabouts were unknown and he does not own a mobile phone.
