51 perish in bus accident

Copperbelt Province to the Zambian capital Lusaka and the 51 people died on the spot, according to Zambia Police Spokesperson Elizabeth Kanjela.
The police spokesperson said the accident occurred as the truck lost control after hitting into another vehicle before colliding with the bus which overturned.
The bus is believed to have been carrying about 70 passengers.  It is believed that 10 passengers sustained some injuries.
The death toll is likely to increase.
Rescue workers are still searching for more bodies in the mangled bus.
Road accidents are common in Zambia and are mainly caused by careless driving and the poor state of roads. — Xinhua.
