A MAN from Sigola in Umzingwane District, Mr Tino Tembo (56) has gone missing for more than two weeks and his family is appealing for assistance in locating him.
Mr Tembo was last seen on March 7 wearing a green pair of trousers, a white t-shirt with black stripes, a blue work suit jacket, and a pair of grey sports shoes.
His daughter, Ms Tennia Tembo said her father is unwell and also suffering from dementia.
Dementia is not a specific disease but is rather a general term for the impaired ability to remember, think, or make decisions that interfere with everyday activities.
Though dementia mostly affects older adults, it is not a part of normal aging.
Ms Tembo said her father has not been taking his medication for some time.
“My father lives with my 73-year-old grandmother in the rural areas. She is the one who helps him take his medication and looks after him. On that particular day, he was sitting outside our home under a tree and my grandmother did not pay much attention to him,” she said.
“She only realised at around 4PM that my father had left home and she could not locate him. We then decided to file a missing person report at the police station.”

Ms Tembo said they tried looking for her father with some neighbours joining in searching for him and combing the entire area without success.
“I am appealing to members of the public to contact us on 0774 016 471 or visit any nearest police station when they locate him,” she said.–@flora_sibanda
