662 graduate at Seke Teachers’ College

Seke Teachers’ College is hosting its graduation ceremony today, with 662 students being conferred with diplomas in primary teacher education.

The event is currently underway at the college campus in Chitungwiza.

Presiding over the ceremony is the Deputy Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science, and Technology Development, Dr Semiliswe Sibanda, who is set to deliver the keynote address.
Of the graduating cohort, 621 are female, while 41 are male, highlighting the continued dominance of women in the teaching profession.

Parents, guardians, Government officials, and other dignitaries are in attendance.

The ceremony is part of the Government’s broader efforts to strengthen teacher education and ensure alignment with Education 5.0, which prioritises teaching, research, community service, innovation, and industrialisation.
