The 77th edition of the Mashonaland West Agricultural Show is expected to kick off tomorrow in Chinhoyi with preparations for the event now at an advanced stage.
This year’s event is running under the theme “Productivity for Industrialisation and Economic Development”.

The Show Society chairman, Mr Godfrey Mavankeni said there was an increase in exhibitors despite the nation experiencing an El Nino-induced drought during the 2023-24 summer cropping season.

Mashonaland West Agricultural Show is the biggest annual event in the provincial administrative capital.

“Zimbabweans are known to be resilient, and this attribute is on display as there are more exhibitions compared to previous editions,” he said.

“We expect the show to be bigger and better considering that we also have new exhibitors.”

Exhibitors were busy putting final touches to their stands and exhibits when The Herald visited the exhibition park this morning on the outskirts of the town.
