78-year-old drown in dam

Police in Mberengwa are investigating a case in which a 78-year-old man from Chingechuru under Chief Chizungu was found dead with his body floating in a local dam.

Midlands Provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said the now deceased Wilson Dube (78) left home for a beer drink at the nearby Chingechuru Business Centre on Tuesday but never returned home.

“The following day, his 20-year-old son then found Dube’s body floating in the nearby Madzivire Dam,” said Insp Mahoko.
