A COOL US$15K TOP PRIZE UP FOR GRABS AS CHIBUKU ROAD TO FAME GETS UNDERWAY

THE country’s biggest talent search, Chibuku Road To Fame, will get underway on Saturday in Harare and Beitbridge with organisers saying they are ready to embrace the next wave of exciting musical stars.

There is a cool US$15 000 cash prize for the top group.

The Harare date has been slated for Tanza Centre, Chitungwiza, while aspiring candidates in Beitbridge will convene at Malaxo Beerhall.

This year’s edition will run from this month to November 9 under the theme: “Bvirarira, Tshay’iNgoma”.

Organisers, Delta Corporation, through their Chibuku brand, have dedicated the platform to recognising and rewarding talent.

“With a rich history of success, the competition continues to empower aspiring musicians, creating countless success stories along the way.

“This initiative also offers Chibuku a unique opportunity to connect with and engage consumers nationwide, with thrilling provincial competitions taking place across the country,” said Delta Corporation marketing director, Irimayi Muzorewa.

The talent search is held in collaboration with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) to empower aspiring musicians and create countless success stories.

“We are ready to discover and celebrate the next wave of musical talent.

“This exciting platform is dedicated to recognising and rewarding exceptional up-and-coming artists, providing a launchpad for diverse talent across the nation,” said Muzorewa.Winners can expect to win cash prizes at both provincial and national levels.

Provincial winners will pocket US$2 500 for first prize, US$1500 for the second prize and US$1000 for third place. The grand prize will be US$15 000 plus a recording contract.

Second and third-placed groups will take home US$10 000 and US$7500.
