VICTOR Zvobgo, one of the founding fathers of the Premier Soccer League, was laid to rest in Mhondoro-Ngezi yesterday.

The PSL described Zvobgo as a visionary man who was a hero of football in this country.

Zvobgo passed away at a Harare hospital on Friday after battling against a kidney ailment for some time.

He was a retired Group Captain with the Airforce of Zimbabwe.

Zvobgo was the inaugural vice-chairman of the PSL, which was led by the late Morrison Sifelani.

The PSL first championship race was in 1983 and was won by Highlanders.
