A legacy of support: President meets war vets

President Mnangagwa is expected to attend the War Veterans League National Executive meeting this afternoon.

The President, a war veteran himself, will have time to take stock of the wing’s programmes in line with the party Constitution.

Yesterday, President Mnangagwa handed over the first batch of 100 tractors to war veterans as an empowerment initiative that will boost agricultural production.

The initiative marks a major step in a broader empowerment drive that is designed to support the country’s liberation war heroes ahead of the upcoming farming season.

The National Executive Committee meeting will be attended by war veterans, National Executive members and provincial chairpersons.
