Brenda Phiri Cool Lifestyle Writer
The last edition of Cool Lifestyle published the Zimsec exam timetable for O-Level students. End of year exams are indeed upon us and students should make use of the exam timetable issued by the local exam board.
This will help you avoid missing examinations or showing up for the wrong one. Such mistakes are costly and no student can afford to make them at this stage.
Today we publish the A-Level exam timetable.
Good luck.
Timetable for the ZGCE A-Level
2013 October/November Examinations
Morning period commences at 8.00am.
Afternoon period commences at 2.00pm.
General Instructions and Notes
This timetable should be displayed on the centre notice board.
1. Time Allowance for Question Papers: The time allowed for each paper is shown against the name of the paper and NO EXTRA TIME IS TO BE ALLOWED. Any time allocated for reading through questions, studying maps, etc, is included in the total time shown.
2. Centres please note that the timetabled examination dates (as appearing on this time-table) take precedence over all examination dates quoted elsewhere in any other documents from Zimsec, viz: — statements of entry, attendance registers, etc, unless otherwise advised officially by the Council in separate correspondence other than documents quoted above.
3.1 Papers included in the same session: Where a candidate is offering two papers of the same subject which are timetabled for the same examination session, a short break should be allowed between the two papers.
3.2 Timetable clashes: If a candidate is entered for two or more papers that are time-tabled for the same examination session both papers must be taken in the same session. A timetable deviation application must be submitted to Zimsec before the examination.
Please note that in all instances where a timetable deviation occurs, candidates starting an examination other than at the scheduled time must be kept isolated from candidates who have already taken the paper. For further information regarding timetable clashes, please contact Zimsec.
4. Indicates that an additional session may be held in the morning or afternoon of the same day.
5. Centres should make arrangements of taping the orals for 9163/1 and other Modern
Language orals during the month of October.
All tapes should be submitted to Zimsec not later than November 1.
6. The attention of all candidates must be called to the DIRECTION TO CANDIDATES AND CAUTION PRINTED ON THE BACK PAGE OF THE TIMETABLE. Candidates are not permitted to have a copy of the timetable while in the examination room.
