SUPERSTARS Alick Macheso and Jah Prayzah are the headline names at two high-profile Winter Warmer concerts in Harare and Ruwa this weekend.
Macheso’s much-hyped Winter Warmer is slated for the Harare Gardens on Sunday and comes at a time when his camp is still celebrating his 55th birthday in Father’s Month.
Jah Prayzah’s Winter Warmer show is at Mutangaz Hideout, along Mutare Road, tomorrow, which is likely to be another star attraction.
He will be supported by Apama Styles and Baba Harare.
At Mutangaz HideOut, fans will fork out US$10 and US$15 for ordinary tickets then US$40 and US$45 for the VIP tickets.
The gig comes at a time when Jah Prayzah is enjoying the success of his two albums – Chiremerera and Maita Baba.
“Let’s warm the winter up this Saturday at Mutangadura Hideout,” Jah Prayzah teased his fans.
He has been quite busy this week, including having a one-on-one interview with Plot Mhako, which he described as “beautiful” while also promoting his upcoming tour of Germany.
After the Jah Prayzah show, attention will certainly shift to the family show, headlined by Macheso, at Harare Gardens on Sunday.
Macheso will exchange notes with Mathias Mhere, Dorcas Moyo, Merciless Zim, Silent Killer, Diamond Musica and DJ Tanaman at the Winter Warmer Family Bash.
“Chando chada kuzouya pakati ichi tochidziisa mu weekend umu,” Macheso said on his band’s social media handle.
“Saturday, Chegutu Gatsi Sports Bar pa Forit shops apo.
“Sunday, Harare tadzoka takawanda, Harare Gardens with Dorcas Moyo, Mathias Mhere, Merciless Zimbabwe, Diamond Musica, Silent Killer and DJ Tanaman.”
Fans will pay US$7 for the ordinary tickets and US$20 for the VIP tickets.
Kids will pay US$3 to catch all the fun.
