A veld fire has erupted outside Ingwegwe Primary

School in Bulawayo’s Pumula East suburb. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained but vendors within the vicinity suspect a reckless cigarette smoker threw a stub resulting in the ignition of the fire.

The country is at its fire season peak which runs from July 31st to November 30. During this period it is illegal for any person to start a fire outside his or her residential or business premises.
