THIS yeara��s edition of the All Africa Pool Association (AAPA) tournament will be played at Harare City Sports Centre from 28 August to 2 September.
a�?Our venue for the annual tournament which is being hosted by Zimbabwe for the first time has been identified as Harare Sports Centre.
The games will be played from 28 August to 2 September. The entry date for participating 21 countries national association has been set as Friday 30 July,a�? said AAPA tournamenta��s chairperson of the subcommittee on media and publicity, Donald Wadawu.
With regards to the tournamenta��s playing format Wadawu said in a game, each team would be expected to field five players and three reserves on an optional basis.
a�?Each player of the five will play against other five making the game to be made up of 25 frames. We are looking forward to exciting games that will be played in a professional manner,a�? added Wadawu.
Meanwhile, on Saturday action will enter week nine in Bulawayo Pool Associationa��s Premier and Division One Leagues.
In the associationa��s elite league, Palace Gardens-based log leaders Exchange entertain fifth placed Golden Lion.
Second-placed former champions Kings meet fellow seasoned campaigners Entumbane.
Skittle Inn will do duty against Raylton while Egodini welcome youthful Lobengula Sharks. Black Eagles will seek to utilise home advantage when they take on Dragons.
West Commonage has an away fixture against Masters. ZPC and Lounge will hope to utilise home advantage when they fight it out against Archers and Southwold respectively.
In Division One A, Drill Hall have a seemingly easy tie against bottom placed Nuttys. Pacesetters Metropolis welcome Nkulumane PC who are on position six with 12 points, three behind Ntabeni who will square it off against Nkulumane Complex.
Nkulumane Complex are on number 13 on the log.
Tshabalala-based Matshalini will visit Ace Lounge.
Guzzlers have a tricky tie against Kugona.
