Ashly DhaniNAMPAK is Africa’s leading diversified packaging manufacturer, it was created by the merging of the related packaging entities MegaPak, Hunyani, and CarnaudMetalbox (CMB) in 2014 with the new entity taking over Hunyani Holdings’ stock exchange listing.
The Company operates in three segments: Printing and Converting, Plastics and Metals and Services.
It is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of paper, plastic, and metal packaging products and leasing of biological assets and property.
The Printing and Converting segment includes Hunyani Corrugated Products Division, Hunyani Cartons, Labels and Sacks Division, Hunyani Management Services Division, Hunyani Forests Limited, Hunyani Properties Limited, and Softex Tissue products.
The Plastics and Metals segment includes Mega Pak Zimbabwe (Private) Limited and CarnaudMetalbox Zimbabwe Limited. The Services segment includes Nampak Zimbabwe Limited-Company.
Its subsidiaries include Hunyani Paper and Packaging (1997) (Private) Limited, Mega Pak Zimbabwe (Private) Limited, CarnaudMetalbox Zimbabwe Limited, Hunyani Forests Limited and Hunyani Properties Limited. Kumbirai Katsande serves as the group chairman of Nampak Zimbabwe Limited.
He has been the head of six different companies. In addition to his position at Nampak Zimbabwe, he is an independent non-executive chairman at Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe Ltd and chairman of Old Mutual Zimbabwe.
He is also on the board of BOC Zimbabwe Gases and chairman at Nestlé Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd.
In his past career, Mr Katsande occupied the position of president at Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries, chief executive officer and managing director at Ariston Holdings Ltd, cluster manager at Nestlé Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd, cluster manager at Nestlé Zambia .
