LEGENDARY musician, Baba Machanic Manyeruke, says his heart bleeds for the way thousands of children are being abused throughout the country.
Baba Manyeruke who is set to receive an award in the United Kingdom, said:
“Marrying an Under-18 is raping a child, we used to wait for around two years for each other as lovers, waiting for her to be mature for marriage.
“Domestic violence is also bad because it results in divorces, we end up seeing innocent children on the streets, some of the children end up abusing drugs, child marriages, early deaths.
“Some parents criticise their children for drug abuse but they also drink mitoriro futi.”
Baba Manyeruke will receive an award from Rainbow Entertainment & Promotions Ltd, in the United Kingdom.
The awards are set for The New Bingley Hall in Birmingham.
The invitation letter to Baba Manyeruke reads:
“Greetings Machanic Manyeruke, I greet you in the name of the powerful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Chris.
“Following our discussion, we would like to cordially extend this invitation to you to come to the ‘Rainbow MegaFest24 Gospel Concert,’ where you will be awarded the Rainbow International Recognition and Appreciation Award, date 29 June 2024, at the venue, The New Bingley Hall, 1-Hockley Circus, Birmingham, United Kingdom.”
He told H-Metro he recorded 17 albums with Gramma Records.
“I did 17 albums at Gramma Records and they got up to 29 after I left Gramma Records when it was closed.
“I eat traditional foods and I do not eat much in the afternoon and I take traditional Maheu but I don’t take any fizzy drinks.”
