A HARARE man says his former wife has made his life hell by physically and verbally abusing him.
Farai Munetsi said he was fed up with his ex-wife, Emma Sengenda’s violent conduct and applied for a protection order against her.
Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted him the protection order after Emma admitted to some of the allegations.
“I am afraid of her now as she insults and threatens me with death. She insults me with obscenities and calls me a wizard,” said Farai.
“She came to my house with five men who gave me a thorough beating. She even threatened to kill me.”
In response, Emma denied ever getting him assaulted.
“I never physically assaulted him, but I agree to verbally abusing him. He calls the children and insults them and they start crying, so I will be hitting back,” she said.
Magistrate Chibindi ordered Emma to stop harassing or insulting her former husband.
