ACR completes resource upgrade at Gadzema

Gadzema gold project.
The Gadzema gold project is located in the Midlands province of Zimbabwe.
In a recent statement, ACR technical director Mr Michael Kellow said including the 174 000 ounces increase in the Gadzema resource, the company has now added
340 000oz to the project.
“These additional ounces further underpin the prospectivity of our Gadzema gold project, where we now have significant intercepts on several zones over 7km of strike length.
“With the Gadzema resource, inventory now stands at over
900 000oz.
“We are confident that we will surpass the one-million-ounce milestone at Gadzema once the assay results from the balance of the recent drilling programme are to hand,” he said.
The intensive drilling programme at Gadzema began in January and that programme, which covered about 13 000 metres, was completed in mid-May.
The current study includes sample and assay data for 77 reverse-circulation drill holes and four diamond core holes drilled by the company during the first and second quarters of the 2011 drilling campaign and last year.
ACR reports that some of the highlights of the upgrade include the completion of about 5 300m of a total of 13 000m of its drilling programme.
The resource upgrade covers about 600m of strike within ACR’s 7km-long Gadzema project and is open to the north, south and west and at depth.
Further, an inferred resource has been estimated at 4,7 million tonnes at 1,1 gram/tonne.
The total Gadzema resource presently stands at 23 million tonnes at 1,2 g/t. The company said assay results from the remaining 8 000m, which will be drilled this month, demonstrate the viability of exceeding the one-million-ounce milestone at Gadzema next month.
