Acting President Mujuru consoles Brazil

Itamar Franco last week. He was 81.
Acting President Mujuru signed the book of condolences at the Brazilian embassy yesterday and said Zimbabwe joined the Brazilian people in mourning the death of one of the gallant sons of South America.

“Zimbabwe has received the death of former president Itamar Franco with sympathy and joins the Brazilian people in mourning one of the gallant sons of South America,” she said.
The late president died on July 2 of leukaemia.
He ruled Brazil between 1992 and 1995.
